About Howard C. Forman

Howard Forman was elected to the Clerk's office in November 2000, was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1946 and moved to Florida in 1955. He is a graduate of Miami Beach Senior High and attended the University of Miami and the New York Institute of Finance.

Prior to being elected Clerk, Forman served on the Hallandale Beach City Commission, the Broward County Commission (Chairman 1980, 1987), the Florida State Senate, and chaired four Senate committees.

Also, Forman chaired the Clerk of Courts Operations Corporation from 2007-2010.

Forman has spearheaded many reforms in the Broward County Clerk's Office including the conversion of a paper system to an electronic system, bringing Courthouse services to our neighborhoods and the delivery of stellar customer service.
