How long do I have to file a notice of appeal?

A notice of Appeal shall be filed any time between rendition of final judgment and thirty (30) days following rendition of a written order being imposed or to be reviewed.

Civil Appeal cases require filing the original Notice of Appeal, along with two (2) identical copies. A copy of the court order must be attached to both the original and 2 copies being filed.

What Are The Filing Fees for an Appeal?

To file a Circuit Civil, Family, Felony, Juvenile and Probate Appeal the filing is $100.00. The filing fee is made payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court. In addition, please include a $300.00 filing fee made payable to the 4th District court of Appeals.

To file a County Civil, Misdemeanor and Traffic Appeal the filing fee is $281.00. The filing fee is made payable to the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Circuit Civil, County Traffic, Felony, Juvenile and Misdemeanor Appeals are filed in the Appeals Division, Room 220

Probate Appeals are filed in the Probate Division, Room 252
